VFW POST 5231 Issues Call to Action

We are issuing a call for action. On Friday 27th of May we will be placing flags on the cemeteries around Montezuma County and there are many. We will be gathering at the Annex in Cortez. It is located at Montezuma and Chesnut. We would like to be gathered by 9am and will team up and move out from there. Some of the notables will be Webber, Cedar Grove, Summit, Peoples, Lewis Arriola and some others. We hope to have enough people to get it done in a couple hours, but we will not quit until the flags are out. This is a good event to bring the young ones and give them the growing up talk about what it means to remember those who have passed. Especially those who gave their lives for the Freedoms we enjoy every day. We will provide the flags, If you have a long screw driver, rebar or something to poke a hole ya might wanna bring it, ground is hard in this county. Wear comfortable shoes and bring some water.
