Verdict In The Murder Of Sasha Krause

October 13, 2021 ·

For those that haven’t been following the case, Mark Gooch has been on trial for kidnapping and killing Sasha Krause, a member of our community that went missing early last year. The jury reached a verdict today and has convicted Gooch of First-Degree Murder, Kidnapping, and theft. Sasha was last seen on January 18, 2020, and her body was found in a forest outside Flagstaff, AZ more than a month later. Tracking cell phone data on Gooch’s phone, helping prove he was in the same area as Sasha, was a contributing factor in his conviction. Sheriff Shane Ferrari released the following statement, “We are delighted to hear that Sasha got some justice today. We will be working with the District Attorney’s office to move forward with the charge of kidnapping in the upcoming weeks.”
