The Haven Mercantile

1430 East Main Street Suite 5 in Cortez

Ann Sam opened her venue, originally called Sam's Craft Haven, in February of 2022. Her goal was to offer an all year long outlet for local crafters and artists. This would give them another option to offer their unique items other than relying on booths at Craft shows and fairs.

Ann has recently partnered with Aharon Martin and the name was changed to The Haven Mercantile. Aharon has added to the wood crafts and original wood furniture collections offered in the store.

This place is a JOY to walk through, even if you are just window shopping. The variety of handcrafted gifts and home décor is amazing. For the kitchen, there is local honey, infused vinegars, embroidered hand towels and quilted potholders. They have just added Adobe Milling products in large sizes for purchase, which can save you trip to Dove Creek.

You will see handmade greeting cards, native jewelry, paintings, and many baby gifts. Ann has her own goat milk soap and creams, all from the goats on her 2nd Chance Farm.

Dixie Belle chalk paint is available for purchase, and you can learn how to use it with the craft classes they are now offering! You can also order custom T-shirts, hoodies and tote bags for both adults and children.

You must visit this place to appreciate all that it has to offer!

They are open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..

They are located at 1430 E. Main St, Suite 5, Cortez ( next to the Thai Restaurant)
