My Thoughts on Ballot Issues

By Bud Garner

LKY: Thank you, Bud. You make an EXCELLENT point.

Just when you think you have had enough evil for a while, along comes some people to push it further.

I wonder just how deep they will dive into the depths of depravity.

What is he talking about, you wonder.

Well, I’ll tell ya.

On this November ballot are three issues so far.  One is asking the voters to approve the retention of overpayment of real estate taxes.  This is a normal and annual request by the politicians who can’t curb their appetite for more of your money.

Well, you say, that’s not ‘evil’.  Hold on, here it comes.

The worst one I’ve seen in a long time is an amendment to the state Constitution and is quoted here:

IN THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF COLORADO, ADD SECTION 32 TO ARTICLE II AS FOLLOWS:

 SECTION 32  ABORTION

THE RIGHT TO ABORTION IS HEREBY RECOGNIZED. GOVERNMENT SHALL NOT DENY, IMPEDE, OR DISCRIMINATE AGAINST THE EXERCISE OF THAT RIGHT, INCLUDING PROHIBITING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR ABORTION.

SECTION 3

IN THE CONSTITUTION OF THE STATE OF COLORADO, REPEAL SECTION 50 OF ARTICLE V

Article II of the State Constitution is the ‘Bill of Rights’, and if this passes, therein would be enshrined the unfettered right to murder innocent babies.

Equally disturbing is what the Democrat controlled legislature do to implement this ‘right’.  At a minimum, I foresee outlawing the ‘protests’ at abortion clinics and imposing heavy penalties.  And, of course, you will wind up paying for abortions under some provision of health care policy.

Now, juxtapose the third ballot issue, banning trophy hunting of mountain lions, bobcats, and lynx.  The proposition states that trophy hunting ‘…IS INHUMANE, SERVES NO SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE OR ECOLOGICALLY BENEFICIAL PURPOSE…’

Evidently some folks think these three predators are more valuable than a precious baby.

How deep will we dive into depravity?

A Democrat politicians' depravity knows no limits. You ask a rhetorical question.
